Hello, I am Ms. McCloskey, this is my first year teaching 5th grade reading and writing. I am so excited to watch your readers and writers begin to advance their skills and strategies. My goal by the end of the year is for these readers and writers to become active readers. They will learn to ask questions and find answers in their reading. They will be able to use the strategies they learn in my class to generate story ideas and create and edit their stories.
