Free Digital & Print Books

  • The following are resources for finding free print and digital books for you and your family. For public libraries and outside organizations, New Caney ISD does not make book selections nor control the content of the books selected by these groups. 

  • Books Beginning at Birth Logo

    If you live in Texas and have children aged 4 and under, you can sign up to receive free books and resources mailed to you. Click here for more information.    


  • Classlink Logo

    New Caney ISD has a variety of digital books for elementary children available through Classlink. Book features include narration, video, links to activities, and more!

  • Sora

    Sora is NCISD's ebook and audiobook platform. Students can checkout up to 3 items for 3 weeks. Visit or download the app. Students login with their district Google account.   

  • Unite for Literacy

    Unite for Literacy provides free access to more than 400 original picture books, one fourth of them written in Spanish. The digital books provide audio narration in more than 40 languages. 

  • Harris County Public Library

    For NCISD families who live in Harris County, the Harris County Public Library loans print and digital books to individuals. Click here to find out more about obtaining a library card.    

  • MCML

    The Montgomery County Memorial Library System loans both print and digital books to individuals who live in Montgomery County. Visit the library to get a free library card. MCMLS library cards can be used at any location, Lone Star College library locations, and most Harris County Public Libraries locations.
