  • We are excited that you are interested in learning more about the opportunities in New Caney ISD!  As a fast growth, innovative district we offer future teachers opportunities to see first hand the wonderful things that are happening in the classrooms of our campuses.  Visiting a classroom as you fulfill observation requirements, working side by side with energetic teachers for field experience or student teaching in our schools are all avenues we offer to those individuals seeking a career in education.  Please visit our links for Observation Guidelines, Field Placement Candidates and Student/Clinical Teachers for more information.     • Observations:  This is typically those individuals that are required by their college or program to observe less than 60 hours per semester in a classroom.  Click here for procedures on how to complete your observations with New Caney ISD.

    • Field Placement: These candidates are those that are in their final semesters before student teaching.  Typically these candidates need a minimum of 60 hours in a classroom setting and are on campus approximately 2-3 days per week.  Click here for procedures on how to complete your Field Placement with New Caney ISD.

    • Student Teachers/Clinical Teachers:  Student Teacher/Clinical Teacher Candidates are completing the required hours needed to obtain teacher certification. Some students may have one semester of student teaching, while others may be enrolled in Year Long Residency Programs.
