My name is Jennifer Montoya. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Early on, I developed a love of reading that I hope to pass on to my students. I have taught 2nd grade as a general education teacher. I have also taught 2nd graders as a reading interventionist. This year, I am very excited to begin my new role as a dyslexia specialist. 

 In my spare time, I enjoy running and getting outdoors. I'm currently training for my third marathon. I'm also a big animal lover with two rescue cats, and hopefully a dog soon.
