What is the district doing to keep my student safe at school?

  • Parents and staff are notified weekly via email and reminded daily via signage, of the self screening protocols which include:  maintain social distancing, wash your hands often, be mindful of cough and sneeze etiquette, cleanliness, and sanitation. 
  • Limiting visitors to campus (no parents at breakfast or lunch)
  • Limiting parent volunteers on campus
  • Hand sanitizing stations in all high traffic areas and in centralized location on secondary floors (Front office, gyms, cafeterias, student/staff parking lot entryways, near elevator or main stairways
  • Scheduled hand washing breaks or hand sanitizing breaks - Elementary (before and after lunch; upon returning from specials and recess) 
  • Hand sanitizer in all classrooms (encourage use upon entering each morning and throughout the day)
  • Cleaning supplies provided for each classroom
  • Increased routine cleaning/disinfecting in high traffic areas throughout the day (front office, clinic, cafeterias, gyms) 
  • Nightly deep cleaning of all areas of district facilities
  • Enforcing temporary area shutdown for cleaning when notified by the campus nurse 
  • Cleaning/disinfecting of buses daily, before and after all routes
